College Week 3

Hey guys!! I know I'm a little late with this post, but I was swamped with work on Tuesday and Wednesday. This college stuff, man, it really IS that hard sometimes, haha.
So, right now, I'm doing this college course called "Comparative Worldviews", where it shows you different worldviews from a Christian perspective. It's really interesting, but also extremely heartbreaking.
See, right now I'm going through the Naturalist section of this course. When I realized that people really believe that there is no purpose to life, that everything is just an accident, it breaks my heart. People really believe that they're just natural accidents, which basically leads to them thinking one of two things: "I'm just a piece of trash, so what's the point of me living?" or, "I'm gonna do whatever I want, whenever I want, because there's no point, no ultimate purpose to life, and you only live once so might as well live it up."
There are the in-between thinkers, but those two are basically the main ones.
Oh yeah, and during all of this, wanna know another one of my college assignments I'm supposed to do? Memorize Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech, "I Have a Dream". Yeah, those two don't exactly mix well together. You go from literally being all energized and ready to make a difference to depressed because you're learning about people who think there's no meaning to life.
Well, enough of my ranting/complaining/pity party. I'm glad to know today that God does have a plan for everything and everyone, He wants us to lay our burdens down at His feet and allow Him to come in and take us to higher places, and lead other people to Him. He loves me, He loves you, and there ain't nothing you can ever do that will change that simple fact. :)
Have a great rest of the week, guys. God bless ya, in Jesus' Name!!!

Sayonara, until next week!

Hey guys. So, I dunno about you, but I think that it is gorgeous outside! Like, for real. It is COLD.
I think it's safe to say that Fall is basically here. :)
So that brings me to the question... What does fall mean to you?
For me, Fall means hoodies, beautiful colors, hot chocolate, cuddling up in warm blankets outside, no more bugs, lying out on the roof and staring up at the night sky, tights, boots, bonfires, colds, girls actually wearing clothes... ya know, that kind of stuff. ;D
Honestly, Fall is my favorite season, besides Winter. Yup, I'm weird, haha, but it's true. I love cold, it means I get to wear my favorite hoodie, tights, boots, skirt and get to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and read a book or just enjoy the nice cold Autumn day. :)
So what does Fall mean to you? You get to start school? Football games? The other random reasons I just listed? Have an excuse to cuddle? Too much homework and all-nighters and coffee? Pumpkin spice lattes?
Whatever your reason or reasons are, take them and enjoy every moment.
This is actually what I thought about after a super hot summer when I realized that it was finally feeling like Fall:
Hebrews 11:1, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
We've all got faith. We know Fall's gonna come, whether we want it to or not. We got faith it's gonna come, and if it doesn't come when we expect it to, we freak, either in a good way or a bad. We prepare for it, because we got faith that it's gonna happen.
Well, I got faith that God's gonna do some epic things this year. So, I'm gonna do something about it. I'm gonna prepare for it. 'Cause faith without works is dead, so if I've got real faith, then I've gotta do something about it. If you got faith, then you gotta do something about it.
So those of you wishing it was already June/end of May/whenever school lets out for you, instead of having faith that you're gonna have a horrible school year, or just year in general, have faith that you're gonna have a great one. You're the only one who can make that choice, that no matter what hits you, you won't let it get you down. You have to make an effort to have a good day/season/year. You can't rely on everybody around you to try to make your day a good one. Do it yourself. :)
Anyways, random update on college, it's going pretty good! Came back from a youth missions trip with a cold and close to no sleep, but it was totally worth it and taking off a day from my college work. :D

So, God bless you guys. And have a great Fall!!!

First week of school status: Alive and still kickin'!!

Hey guys. Well, it's been a week since school started. And...I have survived my first week of college courses!!!
........*chirp chirp, chirp chirp*..........
Now, now, don't get all emotional on me. There are plenty of other kids who've just had their first week of college too. (-_-) Anyways, it's been going okay, other than one day when I literally wanted to shoot something because I was getting frustrated at the Phonetic Number List. Don't ask, I still don't understand why. Something about being able to know that the phonetic word for 24 is Nero doesn't seem like a very important thing I'd use in life. (o.0)
So, all humor and school aside, I think we should all take a moment to remember what happened 12 years ago today. I don't remember much about that day, only that I was confused. My mom was freaking out, talking to my dad on the phone, and they wouldn't tell us anything. But now that I know, I just wanna ask you guys to do one thing, if you don't do anything else I ask, then just do this: Send a prayer up for the families that lost someone. If you know someone who lost somebody, then go up to them and tell them that you love them and you're praying for them.
Have a good day, guys. And hey, it's hump day!!! Two more days until the weekend!! :)

God bless you!

First Day of School....... (O.O)

Well guys, it's my first day of school. As in, online COLLEGE classes.
For all of you public schoolers who're like, "Dude, she's sixteen!! HOW IS SHE TAKING COLLEGE CLASSES?!?!" The first two years of college are basically review of high school, so chill out. If I need to take a class for something I didn't cover in my VERY SHORT homeschooled high school career, I'll let you know. (-_-)
So anyways, COLLEGE CLASSES. Yes, they're online. Yes, I was assigned to this lady who's gonna be my 'coach' who helps me keep everything together and scheduled and all that, and I'm gonna be talking to her today at 4:30.
That's not stopping me from FUH-REAKING AYY-OUT!!!! Read that out loud if you didn't get it. If you're don't understand Southern accents....then never mind, haha.
Side not, got nothin' against Southern people, love 'em to death actually, but ya gotta admit, they like to add unneeded syllables to their words. But then again, everybody does that sometimes. :D
So yeah. I'm a bit nervous. Sooo if you don't hear from me after this post....I want to be buried in a casket that's spring-loaded with confetti so that one day, I can make an archaeologist's day REALLY interesting. ;D
Or I wanna be cremated so that my ashes can be 'spread over the water'.
^Only some people will get the ashes reference. ;)
Okay, so I probably won't die. It'll probably be a lot easier than I think and I will probably have a lot of fun this year. I'm determined that this year is gonna be much better than my previous school years, and I'm gonna excel so that I can pursue what I feel like God's calling me to be.
Thanks for bearing with me, guys, while I'm freaking out and hyperventilating and etc. And have the best school year you've ever had. That goes for both of you homeschooled and public schooled kids. :) Be the light God's called you to be, to your friends, family, classmates, everybody you come into contact with. You never know when a simple act of kindness will save someone's life.

God bless you guys, and have a great school year!

Update on Life in 2019

It's been a while and there's a reason for that (and that's also why I renamed this blog what I renamed it, HAH!). Drum roll, ...
